While I do not want to make this website about myself, explaining pertinent parts of my character is important on some level in understanding my rationale for Abstruse Ushering of Triplanetary Gallicinium. I attempted to explain myself within my various online profiles [Twitter, NewGrounds, and FC2], but the descriptions are either dated or, in the case of Twitter, heavily restricted.

A drawn picture of durationControl's avatar over the Tape Room background ripped from Nixon: The CD ROM. The avatar resembles Kaguya Houraisan from Touhou Project, with the exception of the avatar sporting an America-themed vest.

The author of this website is durationControl, known lovingly as Kagu. While I adopted the name of a fictional character within my first online profiles, I attempted to adopt a more general screen-name from 2016 to 2018. I became dissatisfied with this screen-name, so I decided to switch back to adopting a character as my avatar. I was restarting my Twitter account, so I decided to go for a somewhat unconventional username inspiration: Kaguya Houraisan's ability to manipulate the instantaneous and eternity. Since instants and eternities are a type of duration, and control is a synonym of with manipulation, it can be said Kaguya's ability is "Duration Control". You can find me on Twitter, NewGrounds, FC2Video, and Perennial Pearl.

I was born & raised in Northern Virginia, identify as a palaeolibertarian, and love Touhou Project & President Nixon. I became interested in Touhou Project in early 2015. I love the mainline bullet-hell games, ZUN's tracks, and bonus texts the most. My most favourite game is 紺珠伝, but I also love 永夜抄, 花映塚, and 星蓮船. While I am not as fond of the Slice-of-Life Touhou Project Manga, I also love the 儚月抄 set of works. While I always had an interest in Space and Vintage America, I became interested in President Nixon in mid-2018. More information regarding how I came to like him and why I still like him can be found within my January and November 2023 blogposts. To summarise them briefly, I admire President Nixon since he and I share some adolescent experiences and have similar philosophies, yet he persisted through his struggles and made good marks in History. A major solidifier in my admiration of President Nixon is the Nixon White House Tapes. I find them to be quite insightful with respect to political and general topics.

While I always wanted to make my own audiovisual work, I started work on my own series featuring President Nixon due to the dearth of fictional works which portray him in an honest manner. Most of those who dedicate themselves to making fiction featuring President Nixon hate him, and the small percent that do not hate him adhere to the perception of those who hate him. Most fictional works also tend to focus solely on Watergate, ignoring President Nixon's long political career and accomplishments. After toying with focusing on President Nixon's careers as a Congressman and as Vice President, I settled on a series focusing on the Nixon Administration. I noticed President Nixon in 1971 reflected a lot of the attitudes he held in the 1980s and 1990s, so I decided to orient the focus of my series to President Nixon's Chief of Staff Bob Haldeman, Deputy Assistant Alex Butterfield, and Domestic Policy Advisor John Ehrlichman. The latter three did change during their times in the White House, whereas President Nixon exhibited a similar amount of wisdom and acuity during and after his time as President.
